When the geographic position system (GPS) was introduced to the public in 1983, the technology was at best simple, but very few show the position of the grid is based on very small screen. It is also very expensive for U.S. consumers, the average cost of about $400 dollars retail. At that time, is quite steep for many U.S. buyers.
