The history and background of video conferencing

Videoconferencing; in the first form is much closer than you can imagine. In 1964, a new device called Picturephone was demonstrated at the World's Fair in New York. That's not even entirely new - the idea of joining with the video and sound for the first weakened in 1956 by AT & T. Now maybe videoconferencing anywhere in the world for a little as $12 per month and the cost of a good phone. Industries such as Yahoo and MSN have gone one step further and create a free service.
